This developer will come on as part of a geographically dispersed team of 4-8 individuals.
The project involves updating this clients web based marketing program used to disperse promotional materials, reminders, etc.
Requirements
§ Very strong written and verbal communication skills. Candidate needs to be able to communicate effectively remotely, and produce high-quality documentation and status reports.
§ Ability to act independently: The candidate will be required to troubleshoot issues, adhere to coding standards and processes, and should be senior level.
§ Java/J2EE technologies: 4-6 years practical experience building web applications. JSP, Servlets, JDBC, working in a framework, AJAX, JUnit, web services. Turbine, Velocity, and Selenium a plus.
§ Web client technologies: 4-6 years practical experience with HTML, CSS, XML, DHTML, JavaScript.
Nice to Have
§ Oracle 3-5 years. Must be able to understand a datamodel and write custom SQL. Should be able to performance tune SQL and recommend model changes.
§ UNIX 2-3 years. Must be able to work inside this OS. Light scripting, script execution, file management.
